It was a year of major life shifts—none more jarring than having my career abruptly reimagined after being laid off from a 22-year federal job. There was no inner calling guiding that change. It was sudden, unsettling, and completely outside my control. What I thought was stable disappeared, and I was left to figure out who I was without the structure I had known for most of my adult life.
There were moments of real chaos. Moments of grief, anger, and fear about what came next. I questioned my direction, my worth, and my footing. But somewhere in the middle of that uncertainty, I found my strength—not in certainty, but in resilience. In showing up for myself when the plan I trusted was no longer there.
2025 taught me that trusting the process doesn’t mean pretending things happen for a reason. Sometimes it means staying present with what is, even when it’s unfair or unexpected. Hope didn’t arrive all at once—it came in small, quiet ways: choosing to keep moving forward, learning to sit with the unknown, and slowly rebuilding trust in myself.
As I look ahead, I’m carrying forward what the year revealed: my adaptability, my courage, and my ability to begin again after loss. I don’t have all the answers—and I don’t need them yet. What lies ahead is still unfolding, shaped by everything I’ve endured, released, and survived.
And for now, that feels like enough. ✨
I graciously say farewell to 2025, and bring it on 2026 I am ready, able and capable to embrace all that is to come.
