Mirror Magic

Mirror work, rather I like to say “Mirror Magic” is an amazing self healing practice that we can all do. It may sound simple, and in theory it can be extremely simple. The reality of doing this practice and the emotions that can come up in the beginning can be a little overwhelming in the beginning. I promise you, that if you do this every single day at least once a day. Preferred up to three times a day. However once a day is perfectly fine, you will indeed begin to witness changes within yourself.

Everything is based on the energy in which we give it. You can decide what that energy is such as loving, caring, understanding, forgiving and so on. The most healing energy there is, is unconditional love. Giving that unconditional love to yourself!! Wow, can it make a difference in your every day life. The energy of LOVE is healing at so many levels. It can offer in the energy to heal our own emotions and heart, it can heal relationships, and can help others along their healing journey. As you embrace the power of love in our heart center that energy can go out to others. We first have to start with ourselves and Mirror Magic is a great way to do just that.

Find a mirror that you can either sit or stand in front of comfortably. Look into the mirror and look into your own eyes, actually make eye contact with yourself. It will feel odd at first, over time you will become accustom to it. Now take a few moments to fill your heart with unconditional love and imagine that love energy moving from the physical you to the you that you see in the mirror. I promise you are not giving away thing, you are only transferring the love from within yourself to yourself. 

Now as you look at your own self in the mirror, state the following phrases:

I love you

I am amazing in all that I do

I am forgiven

I am worthy

I am loved

Be mindful of the emotions that come up. Acknowledge your emotions and imagine your entire self being surrounded with unconditional love. As you go throughout your day, bring back that feeling so you can recall how amazing you are and that you are LOVED. Of course you can add other phrases that you feel are helpful for you. Other examples include, I am healthy, I am proud of who I am and anything that fits your healing needs at that time. Just as long as it is “I am” and in a positive intention.

Doing this for yourself in a regular basis will be one of the best gifts you can give yourself. It takes time, but it is so worth it. Being able to hold that unconditional love for ourselves is the most amazing thing you can do. Loving yourself, forgiving yourself and having self-acceptance is the greatest gift. We all deserve unconditional love and the very best place to find this in within yourself. Owning that unconditional love from within is healing and forever yours. You are not dependent on anyone or anything else to give you what you unequivocally deserve.
